24/11/2024: Trying to find good anime is hard

I'm currently not watching many anime, besides K-On! (which I don't binge, I watch slice-of-life more casually than other things), and am trying to find something. I'm in this strange spot of having things I am interested in, but also not having enough options. I find it hard to find things which are to my tastes, because it seems like most popular anime is just battle shonen, a genre I find... lacking, to say it nicely. It's not that there can't be any good battle shonen (Bleach is awesome), but a lot of it is meaningless action with paper-thin characters and fan-service. I'm also not a big shojo fan, of course I love Ouran, Sailor Moon and CCS, but most romance just isn't for me.

Being a picky person is hard. I may try Ergo Proxy, Berserk (90's) or Paranoia Agent soon. I'm, of course, going to watch the Uzumaki anime soon but I'm not excited to.
