I still haven't began playing Pokemon Platinum again -- BUT I FOUND ANOTHER GREAT GAME! It's The World Ends With You. I'm honestly obsessed already; the unique battle-system, the awesome art-style, it's just amazing. I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before. The review for it will be coming soon!
So, some updates on my unrealistic goal to play each DS mainline Pokemon game! I'm not going to get started on Platinum right away, to give myself a break from the series. I created a file but right off the bat I found the rival (Bruce is his name, I think?) to be incredibly annoying. I've never been the biggest gen 4 fan and have always found the region's Pokemon to be dull, but I'll probably enjoy it more this time.
I'll also be playing Dragon Quest 6. I began playing it because I like the character designs and I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. It's supposedly the worst in the DS Dragon Quest line, which means I'll probably love the other games if I like the sixth one.
Every so often I replay one of the DS Pokemon games, but this time round I'm going to try to replay all of them by the end of the year. To be more clear, I'll be playing each gen available on the DS, so I won't be playing all of the side games. And by each gen, I mean one game from each, so I've already played HeartGold and White this year, so I won't be playing SoulSilver or Black. It also means that when I do my gen 4 replay I won't have to play Diamond and Pearl if I play Platinum, which I'll definitely be playing rather than Diamon and Pearl for obvious reasons.
I may play some of the side games and spin-offs, but it's unlikely as I find some of them to just not be worth my time and I have other games to get to, like the rest of the Ace Attorney series on the DS.
I'll also begin playing the fangame "Azumanga Daioh: The Druglord Game" as quickly as I can, as the title itself is... interesting, to say the least.
